About Ban Bandhu Kalayan Youjna

The purpose of Ban Bandhu Kalayan Youjna is to bring tribal population of the country at par with other social groups and include them in overall progress of the nation. It aims to develop solid formal mechanisms to help spread all the benefits of all central and State schemes to reach the target populations by convergence of resources. The government aims for holistic development of tribal by plugging in the infrastructural gaps and lags in human development indices. The already existing institutions which carry out delivery of goods and services need to be strengthened further and robust systems to be developed for implementation. Initiatives will be taken to promote skill development and generate employment to provide sustainable development and decent living to the tribal people.

Our Organization Foundation for Awareness, Counseling and Education-FACE has got an opportunity to be an integral part of tribal development project under Ban Bandhu Kalayan Yojna in the block of Littipada and District- Pakur State-Jharkhand and presently implementing two education based activities

Comprehensive Reading Skill Development

To lay emphasis on thought process and systematic, integrated reading ability and help to develop cognitive psychomotor and effective skills for comprehensive education--- The approach and concept of comprehensive education by putting emphasis on:

  •  Knowledge

  • Understanding

  • Analyzing

  • Applying

  • Creating

Remedial Coaching Centers for class VIII to XII children

Remedial Coaching centers for ensuring continuing education to improve learning levels of children who are in school but are facing learning difficulties due to lack of teachers and quality of teaching in schools. The Littipara block predominately inhabited by excluded tribal, primitive tribe, and schedule caste communities, and high numbers of children are as first generation learners, the children face extensive difficulties in Hindi, English, Math and Science subjects.

FACE has applied methodology for Comprehensive Reading Skill Development and Remedial Coaching projects which are as:

  • Preparing quality educators with competency in reading and subject based teaching skills.

  • Capacity building and strenuous training on reading skill and Remedial Education (Hindi ,English, Maths and Science) to educators.

  • Provision of a better living standard and quality of life.

  • Improving access to quality education.

  • Supplementary learning based curriculum development.

  • On-Going classes for Remedial Coaching centers at class VIII to XII level Comprehensive Reading skill Development for class IV to VII level.

  • Audio- Visual and written Base line & End line of individual child.

  • Bi-monthly review meeting of educators for their class based academic doubts clearance and motivate cum rewards for best practices.

  • Proper individual record keeping for their progress assessment.

  • Day to day stringent monitoring at center level .

  • Weekly sharing meeting with Educators & supervisors.

  • Formation of Local Community Monitoring group meeting at center level.

  • Organizational official & district level resource pool member as well as external evaluation team monitored by the centers.

  • Monitoring support & feedback to be requested by the department officials.

  • At the end of the year audio-visual and corporeal and impact presentation to district officials, Community stakeholders and the eminent person of the society.
